Iltifat is one of the prominent rhetorical techniques in the Quran, used to shift attention from one topic to another in a surprising and impactful manner. This research aims to analyze the role of iltifat in Quranic interpretation, focusing on the issue of fear (khushya). The research problem lies in the lack of in-depth studies on technique of iltifat in the Quran, especially in the context of fear. The research adopts an analytical rhetorical approach, analyzing Quranic texts that contain the technique of iltiṭāf in Surah Al-Mulk, and interpreting them in the context of fear. The study is limited to Quranic texts that contain iltifat related to the issue of fear. The research concludes that technique of iltifat in the Quran plays a significant role in enhancing the concept of fear. By shifting attention suddenly, the Quran can capture the reader's attention and direct it towards contemplating the greatness of Allah and fearing Him, thereby enhancing religious understanding and encouraging the reader to reflect on Allah's verses.
