Features of "Taʿallum al-ʿArabiyya" website from the Al Jazeera Media Institute for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-native Speakers

Learning through websites is currently one of the most important means to acquire knowledge and skills, including Arabic language skills. In this context, it is noted that the "Learn Arabic" website offered by the Al Jazeera Media Institute is one of the prominent platforms contributing to the improvement of Arabic language skills for non-native speakers. Therefore, this study adopts a qualitative approach to gather information from various sources to explore the advantages of this site in terms of content and interface. The research results showed that the content of the site is characterized by five elements: grammar, blog, quizzes, courses, and lessons. As for the interface, the site features four characteristics: ease of use, educational videos, interactive exercises, and a user guide. It is suggested that this study be complemented by comparing the learning outcomes of students who use this site with those who do not, to better understand the effectiveness of the site as an educational tool.
يعتبر التعلّم عبر المواقع الإلكترونية في وقتنا الحاضر من أهم الوسائل الحديثة في اكتساب المعارف والمهارات بما فيها مهارات اللغة العربية. وفي هذا الضوء، يلاحظ أنّ موقع "تعلُّم العربية" الذي يقدّمه معهد الجزيرة للإعلام يقدّم نموذجاً طيّباً على المنصات التعليميّة التي تُسهم في تنمية مستوى مهارات اللغة العربية لدى الناطقين بغيرها. ولذا، تتخذ هذه الدراسة منهجاً نوعياً للحصول على المعلومات من مصادر متنوعة بهدف استكشاف ميزات هذا الموقع من حيث المضمون والشكل. وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث أن مضمون الموقع يتميز باحتوائه على خمسة عناصر آتية: القواعد، والمدونة، والاختبارات، والدورات، والدروس. أما بالنسبة للشكل، فإنّ واجهة الموقع تتميز بأربعة خصائص وهي: سهولة الاستخدام، وتنوّع الفيديوهات التعليمية، وتقديم التمارين التفاعلية، ودليل المستخدم. فيُقترح أن تُكمل هذه الدراسة من خلال مقارنة نتائج التعلم للطلاب الذين يستثمرون هذا الموقع مع الطلاب الذين لا يستخدمونه بغية فهم أفضل لفعالية الموقع كأداة تعليميّة.
